I've defined "new" authors and illustrators as those who have been published for the first time some time between 2000 and now. Oliver Jeffers I am eagerly awaiting the release of Jeffers' new book The Way Back Home after discovering The Incredible Book Eating Boy. My friend used to work in a book shop and says that Lost and Found is also brilliant. I've reserved it from our local library. I'm so excited about this new author-illustrator and looking forward to what he produces in the future. Linda Ashman We've just discovered Babies on the Go by Ashman. I'm partial to Australian authors and Ashman fits that bill. This gorgeous book about babies (human and animal) and how they travel is beautiful. I'm looking forward to finding more of her books.
